The following is an announcement from the Head Football Coach, Cody Collett from Prescott High School.

“With the Governor’s executive order, the AIA has officially pushed back the start date for all Fall Sports until August 17th. The good news is nothing has been canceled to this point. In it’s message to member schools, the AIA stated “Arizona is still currently in the first phase of statewide reopening. Additionally, member schools should continue to follow the Sports Medicine Advisory Committee’s recommendations for phase 1 activity.” We are extremely fortunate at PHS that our administration is allowing us to continue workouts with our team under phase 1 guidelines.

We will continue to meet in small groups with social distancing protocols in place. As we have done all Summer please make sure your athlete has a labeled water bottle, signed waiver, and face-covering with them in order to participate. I notified all of our athletes via text of their assigned workout time. This is the time they have had all Summer.

We will be adjusting our days as we will go on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday for the next few weeks. I have tentatively rescheduled our equipment days for Friday, August 7th, and Monday, August 10th.

Parents, please get on to fill out the paperwork ASAP. If your athlete participated in a sport at PHS last year, the physical from last year will count for this upcoming school year.

Thank you for your cooperation in this unprecedented time. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to reach out to Coach Cody Collett at
