Avondale turns into a winter wonderland on Saturday, December 3, with a visit from Santa, rides, a tree lighting ceremony, activities, crafts, food and the start of our holiday light show.
This free, family-fun holiday event takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Avondale Civic Center’s outdoor amphitheater, located at 11465 W Civic Center Drive, Avondale, AZ 85323. Kick off the holidays with friends and family in Avondale. Come enjoy the holiday festivities and experience the light show. Food and sweet treats will be available for purchase.
Photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be available at the event. Stage entertainment includes the West Valley Youth Orchestra, dance performances, a tree lighting ceremony lead by Mayor Kenn Weise and the City Council, Santa and special guests. In addition, 2022 Billy Moore Days Grand Marshal and Junior Grand Marshal, Manny Murillo and Haylie Mulhausen, have been invited to lead the important tradition of turning on the holiday light switch!
The tree lighting musical light show at City Hall Building is a featured spotlight at the event and all season long. The Civic Center Amphitheatre will be lit up and will blink in sync to festive holiday music. The synchronized light show takes place nightly throughout the season, at the City Hall Amphitheater from Saturday December 3 through Sunday January 1, 2023. Come celebrate with us!

Amphitheatre Holiday lights – every day throughout the month of December, 5:30 – 9:15 p.m.
Location: Avondale Civic Center Amphitheater
The synchronized musical light display will be up throughout the holiday season, with a light show to display every 30 minutes.
FREE to attend – bring blanket or chair, your own treats and your family and friends and enjoy the show!
