The Arizona Coyotes announced today that the team has partnered with Gila River Hotels & Casinos to host a Give a Gift, Get a Gift holiday event to benefit Harvest Compassion Center.

“We are excited to partner with Gila River Hotels & Casinos on this food drive benefiting the Harvest Compassion Center,” said Coyotes President & CEO Xavier Gutierrez. “Our top priority is to be a leader in our community, and we hope that this event will provide much-needed support to those in need during this difficult time.”

The Coyotes are encouraging fans to bring non-perishable canned food items to the drive-thru event at Gila River Arena on Saturday, December 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Traffic will run eastbound on Coyotes Blvd. outside the arena.

“We’re so excited and thankful of the Arizona Coyotes’ commitment to feeding our local neighbors during this holiday season with their drive-through event,” said Nicolee Thompson, Executive Director of Harvest Compassion Center. “The current pandemic has stretched our resources and every can of food helps to bring hope to a struggling family. This is our busiest month of the year and we’ve already experienced numbers that are double from last December. Thank you to all who can drop in and drive by to bring Christmas cheer to those who need it the most!”

Participants who register and donate will receive a Kachina fanny pack and will be entered to win other exciting Coyotes prizes including jerseys, custom State Forty-Eight shirts, and signed hockey sticks as well as a stay at the Coyotes branded room at Gila River Hotels & Casinos – Wild Horse Pass or Vee Quiva.
