Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary Received Huge Help from Findlay Subaru Prescott

Article audio is made possible by CAST11 Prescott Podcast Network. A Talking Glass Media production.

Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary (HPZS) of Prescott, AZ was recently hit hard when their freezer suddenly stopped working causing the zoo to lose a substantial amount of meat used to feed the animals. Keepers and sanctuary staff scrambled to save as much meat as they could until the freezer was back up and running again.

Unfortunately, there was a large loss to the meat supply and seeing the need, Findlay Subaru Prescott stepped up to make a donation of over 200 lbs of meat to the zoo. “We would like to send a huge thank you to Findlay Subaru Prescott in Prescott, AZ for their extremely generous meat donation for our animals! They have given us a great start!”

You can still help!

The zoo is looking to the community for more support as there is still a need for more donations of unseasoned fish, beef, chicken, turkey, and lamb as well as any game-type meat to help feed the Mexican gray wolves, black bears, mountain lion, bobcats, and many other animals. (Please no pork products).

Please bring all donations to the sanctuary gift shop during hours of operation 10:00 am-4:00 pm until May 1st, then the hours change to 9:00 am-5:00 pm. The zoo is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year!
