Live music returns to the Historic Yuma Theatre with Yuma Rocks, a music festival highlighting local musicians, the evenings of Sept. 10-11, 2021.

Born out of a competition formerly known as Battle of the Bands, Yuma Rocks features a range of music that includes rock, metal, reggae, punk, and ska.

Doors of the Historic Yuma Theatre, 254 S. Main St., will open at 6:30 p.m. each night, with shows starting at 7 p.m.

“After several successful years presenting the Battle of the Bands, we listened to our local music community this year to plan an extra special event that was not a competition, but a celebration of Yuma’s outstanding music community,” said Arts and Culture Program Manager Lindsay Benacka. “We are excited to present a two-night event this year and have some bands in the Historic Yuma Theatre for the first time ever, along with some fan favorites returning to the stage for the first time since before the pandemic.”

Yuma Rocks is an all-ages show. The theater’s concession stand and bar will be open. Band T-shirts and related merchandise will be available for sale.
