Officers from the Prescott Valley Police Department would like to invite residents of the community to join them in an informal, neutral space to discuss community issues, build relationships, and drink free coffee at the next Coffee with a Cop event.
The January Coffee with a Cop will take place on Wednesday, January 26th from 10:00 am-11:30 am at the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce, 7120 Pav Way #102, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314.
Coffee with a Cop provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the department’s work in Prescott Valley’s neighborhoods. Most contacts the public has with law enforcement occur during emergencies or emotional situations, which is not always the most effective time for relationship building with the community. Some community members may feel that officers are unapproachable on the street.
The program aims to advance the practice of community policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members one cup of coffee at a time. For further information, contact Jerry Ferguson, 928-772-5114 or jferguson@pvaz.net.
