Here is your Monsoon Outlook for Tuesday, July 12th from the US National Weather Service, Flagstaff, Arizona.

This morning ample moisture is coming into Arizona from the Gulf of California and from New Mexico setting us up for an active day of weather.

Forecast models show that storms will begin to develop around noon and run until about 8:00 pm. There is a higher chance of storms around the Mogollon Rim and in the White Mountains.

Watch for lightning, gusty winds, heavy rainfall, and localized flash flooding. As always with heavy rains, stay clear of flooded roadways, washes, and riverbeds. Flash floods can happen in moments.

What is the Arizona Monsoon? Learn about why we see the same weather patterns year after year.
