The Lake Havasu City Veterans Resource Team is hosting a Stand Down event on Saturday, October 17 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The event is located at the Lake Havasu City Aquatic Center, 100 Park Ave. Many local veterans’ resource organizations are present to assist with legal aid, housing, resume guidance, employment opportunities, and more.

This community-based intervention program is designed to help veterans who are homeless combat life on the streets. The hand-up philosophy of Stand Down is carried out through the work of volunteers and organizations who make this event possible.

Lake Havasu City Veterans Resource Team asks the public to spread the word regarding the event so that local veterans can be reached and many benefit from the assistance provided at the event.
