The Arizona Department of Transportation has announced lane restrictions planned on State Route 89 in Prescott between Deep Well Ranch Road and State Route 89A are scheduled to begin Monday, December 23rd until Saturday, January 4th. The restrictions will be in place while contractors install handrails along the sidewalk locations. During the installation, north- and southbound SR 89 will have lane restrictions between the hours of 8:00 am-4:30 pm Monday through Saturday. However, there will be no restrictions on Christmas Day, December 25th and New Year’s Day, January 1st.
During the lane restrictions, drivers should allow extra time for travel or consider taking Deep Well Ranch Road to Willow Creek Road as an alternate route during this period of time. Please be advised, there will be a 10-foot vehicle-width restriction in place.
Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
