With Martin Luther King Jr. Day around the corner, many city services close in honor of the holiday. Below is your quick reference list for all the city closures happening in the City of Phoenix.

Phoenix City Offices will be closed on Monday, January 17, 2022 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Holiday.

Solid Waste:
Trash and recycling will be collected as usual. There will be no change in collection day. Please place your trash and recycling containers 4 feet apart at the curb by 5:30 a.m.
Transfer Stations:
The 27th Avenue and North Gateway Transfer Stations will be closed.
Public Transit:
Bus and light rail are operating on a weekday service schedule. No RAPID or Express bus service. Customer Service is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Service windows at transit centers are closed. Visit valleymetro.org for more information.
Library:
All Phoenix Public Library locations are closed. Phoenix Public Library book drops remain available with the exception of South Mountain Community Library. Customers may access library resources 24/7 by visiting phoenixpubliclibrary.org.
Parking Meters:
All parking meters are enforced 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, including weekends and holidays.
