With Martin Luther King Jr. Day around the corner, many city services close in honor of the holiday. Below is your quick reference list for all the closures happening in Prescott Valley, Prescott, and Chino Valley.
Town of Prescott Valley
The Town of Prescott Valley offices will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 17th. They will reopen for normal business hours on January 18th.
The following Town of Prescott Valley facilities are also closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and will reopen on January 18th for normal business hours:
- Civic Center
- Police Department Lobby & Admin Offices. For emergencies call 911, non-emergency dispatch call 928-772-9267.
- Prescott Valley Public Library
City of Prescott
In observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 17, city offices and Prescott Public Library will be closed, and some services will be affected. Solid waste services including trash collection and the transfer station will be operating. Here are some details:
Schedule for City of Prescott Offices
The City of Prescott offices will be closed on Monday, January 17th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. City offices will reopen on Tuesday, January 18th, at 8 a.m.
Schedule for Prescott Public Library
Prescott Public Library will be closed on Monday, January 17th, reopening Tuesday, January 18th at 9 a.m.

Schedule for Solid Waste Division
The Solid Waste Division WILL BE collecting residential and commercial trash and recyclables on Monday, January 17, 2022. Please have your containers curbside on your regular scheduled pick-up day by 6 a.m. Commercial routes will also be serviced on their regular schedule.
The City of Prescott Transfer Station WILL BE open on Monday, January 17, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please remember to cover and contain all loads when transporting them to the Transfer Station located at 2800 Sundog Ranch Road.

Town of Chino Valley
The Town of Chino Valley offices will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 17th. City offices will reopen on January 18th for regular hours.
Town of Chino Valley facilities that are also closed Martin Luther King Jr. Day include:
- Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce, they will reopen for normal hours 9:00 am-5:00 pm on January 18th.
- Chino Valley Library, they will reopen for normal hours 10:00 am-6:00 pm on January 18th.
- Senior Center: Closed and will reopen for normal hours on January 18th.
Yavapai County Offices
Yavapai County offices will be closed on Monday, January 17, 2022, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. County offices will reopen on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, with regular business hours.
