With Memorial Day around the corner, many city services close in honor of the holiday. Below is your quick reference list for all the closures happening in Prescott Valley, Prescott, and Chino Valley.
Town of Prescott Valley
The Town of Prescott Valley offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 29th. They will reopen for normal business hours on May 30th.
The following Town of Prescott Valley facilities are also closed on Memorial Day and will reopen on May 30th for normal business hours:
- Civic Center
- Police Department Lobby & Admin Offices. For emergencies call 911, non-emergency dispatch call 928-772-9267.
- Prescott Valley Public Library

City of Prescott
The City of Prescott will be closed on Monday, May 29th in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday. City offices will reopen on Tuesday, May 30th at 8 a.m.
Prescott Public Library will be closed on Monday, May 29, reopening Tuesday, May 30 at 9:00 am. Your virtual library is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week offering eBooks, newspapers, magazines, movies, courses, reference material, and much more! The Solid Waste Division will be collecting residential trash and recyclables on Monday, May 29th. Please have your containers curbside by 6:00 am. Commercial routes will also be serviced on their regular schedule.
The City of Prescott Transfer Station will be closed on Monday, May 29th. The Transfer Station will reopen on Tuesday, May 30th, from 8:00 am–4:00 pm. Please remember to cover and contain all loads when transporting them to the Transfer Station.

Town of Chino Valley
The Town of Chino Valley offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 29th. City offices will reopen on May 30th for regular hours.
Town of Chino Valley facilities that are also closed on Memorial Day include:
- Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce, they will reopen for normal hours 9:00 am-5:00 pm on May 30th.
- Chino Valley Library, they will reopen for normal hours 10:00 am-6:00 pm on May 30th.
- Senior Center: Closed and will reopen for normal hours on May 30th.
Yavapai County Offices
Yavapai County offices will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2023, in observance of Memorial Day. County offices will reopen on Tuesday, May 30th with regular business hours.
