Monsoon Daily Outlook for July 29

Numerous thunderstorms are expected by later this afternoon over much of northern Arizona. Continued scattered coverage is even likely into this evening and throughout the early overnight hours for north-central and northwestern Arizona.

Today, thunderstorm coverage will begin to increase over mainly the high terrain of northern Arizona late this morning and throughout the early afternoon hours. Later this afternoon, expect coverage into the lower elevations into central and northern Arizona as well.

Late evening into early overnight hours, thunderstorms are expected to continue in north-central and northwestern Arizona.

Continued scattered to numerous storms are expected into the weekend for north-central and northwestern Arizona. Current forecasting shows there will be a decrease in storms into early next week but we should expect an increase in gusty winds.

Always remain prepared for the potential for flash flooding this week, including lower activity days, and be sure to sign up for alerts to be notified of any flash flood warnings.
