Monsoon Outlook for July 14th

Article audio is made possible by CAST11 Prescott Podcast Network. A Talking Glass Media production.

Here is the Monsoon outlook for today, Thursday, July 14th provided by the US National Weather Service, Flagstaff, Arizona.

Today’s outlook shows scattered to widespread shower and thunderstorm activity mainly along and south of the Mogollon Rim by the afternoon and continuing into the early evening across the northwest. Storms are also expected to form near the Bradshaw Mountains and the San Francisco Peaks then will generally move off to the north and the northwest through the afternoon.

Flash flooding will again be the main concern with slow-moving storms expected and locally heavy rainfall possible.

Watch for lightning, gusty winds, heavy rainfall, and localized flash flooding. As always with monsoon rains, stay clear of flooded roadways, washes, and riverbeds. Flash floods can happen in moments.
