If you are a fan of Pita Jungle – and surveys show many folks in Goodyear are – you can skip the 30-minute plus drive to the restaurant’s nearest location. That’s because the eatery is bringing its health-oriented Mediterranean food to the Southwest Valley for the first time.

Pita Jungle will roll into Goodyear in its branded food truck, which features a full custom-built kitchen that allows them to serve culinary excerpts from the Pita Jungle in-store menu including salads, pitas & bowls, and their famous hummus with grilled chicken, beverages and desserts. The truck will be at the Goodyear Recreation Campus (GRC) for the first time on Sunday, May 15, 2022 and again on Sunday, May 29, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The company launched the 20-foot truck last year and it not only brings Pita Jungle’s fare to new markets but also supports the chain’s catering operation.

Pita Jungle’s food is popular in Goodyear, according to recent city retail surveys. (You talk; we listen!) Residents ranked it eighth among eateries they liked in 2021. In the 2019 and 2017 surveys, which asked respondents what restaurants they would like to have in Goodyear, Pita Jungle placed fifth and fourth, respectively.

The Scottsdale-based chain has 22 locations in Greater Phoenix, but none yet in the Southwest Valley. The nearest Pita Jungle restaurant is at Park West in Peoria. The restaurant’s full menu includes pitas, wraps and bowls, as well as salads, healthy burgers and wood-fired pizzas. It also boasts numerous vegetarian and vegan options.

So, Goodyear residents… let’s show Pita Jungle we need a brick-and-mortar location in our city! Visiting the truck while it’s in Goodyear is a golden opportunity to – literally – put your money where your mouths are. So, grab your fam and stop by to fill up on falafel, gyros, hummus, or other personal favorites!
