Two students from Prescott High School were chosen to represent Arizona Interact District 5495 in Kenya this summer!

Displaying the certificates are: Peyton Weber, Sophia Brown, Desiray Bennett, Edgar Martinez-Aviles, Areli Martinez-Aviles, Katharina Seibert, Ruby Pedroza, and Elsa Sherman (Prescott High School).

Siblings, Edgar Martinez-Aviles and Areli Martinez-Aviles will be joining four other Arizona high school students on a service trip to Kenya in July. On this trip, they will act as ambassadors of American culture, serve communities in Kenya by supporting Rotary projects (including Crutches for Africa and distributing mobility devices to people with disabilities), and learn about Prescott College’s guide training program on the Maasai Mara.

While this trip is sponsored by the Rotary Club, we are working on fundraising opportunities and accepting donations to help fund this project. Want to help? Stay tuned as more information is release from the school on how you can help support these students in this unique and incredible opportunity.

Congratulations to Edgar and Areli!
