The City of Prescott will host a Household Hazardous Waste Collection for City residents from March 6th – 24th to allow residents the opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted household hazardous items.
Materials accepted include, but are not limited to:
- insecticides
- pesticides
- gasoline
- car batteries
- drain and oven cleaners
- bleaches
- CFL and Fluorescent Light bulbs (unbroken)
- oil (5-gallon limit)
- latex paint (20-gallon limit)
- stain thinners
- sealers
- adhesives
- non-alkaline batteries
- old mercury thermometers
Empty containers and dried paint cans should be placed in your regular trash cart.
This is a curbside pick-up event for residential utility customers only, no services will be provided for commercial businesses.
Pre-registration is required to participate. Residents can call 928-777-1116 or register online for this service beginning Monday, February 6th. The collection will begin Monday, March 6th.
