The new road will run from the Santa Fe Loop roundabout on the north to Highway 69 on the south. The new connector is expected to help ease some of the traffic on Glassford Hill Road and Prescott East Highway.

As work is being completed, access to Glassford Summit trailhead will remain available and will continue to be maintained once the roadway is completed.

After reading the article about the new connector road that will run from h
Hwy. 69 to Santa Fe Loop Rd. I really hope that they improve Santa Fe Loop Road. At this time that road is one lane in each direction. There is a dog park on Granville Parkway and Santa Fe Loop Rd. Already there is an electronic sign telling people to stop for people crossing the street. I can only imagine how bad the traffic will get on Santa Fe Loop Rd. when you add in all the new houses being built directly to the north of Santa Fe Loop Rd.
