Meet The Class

Kaylee Torres | Libero and Defensive Specialist | Eastvale, California

Shaver on Torres: “Kaylee is one of the hardest working and most determined players I have met in my time at Yavapai College. She is a skilled defender and passer who plays without fear against big attackers across the net. She will be a great addition to our libero position!”

High School: Torres will graduate from Eleanor Roosevelt High School in May of 2022 where she has played four years of varsity volleyball, earned second-team all-league honors and has earned multiple tournament MVP awards.

Personal: Torres was born on September 19, 2004, in Whittier, California. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, playing with her beagle (Pheobe), watching baseball and listening to music. While at Yavapai, she plans to graduate with her associate’s degree and eventually attain a major in Administration of Justice.

Anna Bolich | Setter | Mission Viejo, California

Shaver on Bolich: “Anna is an all-around volleyball player who plays several positions for her high school and club teams, which is rare in today’s volleyball world. Her skills as a setter are special and I am looking forward to adding her to our team as one of the “quarterbacks” who run our offense. Her unique skill set will help diversify our offense.”

High School: Bolich will graduate from Mission Viejo High School in June of 2022 where she has played four years of varsity volleyball with two years as a team captain, earned first-team all-league honors as a senior and earned most valuable teammate honors as a junior.

Personal: Bolich was born on December 5, 2003, in Laguna Beach, California. Her hobbies include going to the beach, hiking, and traveling. Bolich’s career goals include majoring in psychology and eventually becoming a sports psychologist.

Allison Birtcil | Right Hitter | Tucson, Arizona

Shaver on Birtcil: “Allison is an athletic and competitive player whose skill set fits well for our team on the right side. Her ability to attack left-handed is an advantage that not many players possess. The fact that she has solid blocking and has good back row skills should allow her to compete for playing time right away.”

High School: Birtcil will graduate from Ironwood Ridge High School in May of 2022.

Personal: Birtcil was born on May 14, 2004, in Tucson, Arizona. Her hobbies include spending time with her friends and family.

Emma Orton | Middle Blocker | Oro Valley, Arizona

Shaver on Orton: “Emma caught my attention the first time I saw her on the court because her athleticism and aggressive personality stand out in a crowd! Her desire to work hard and improve as a middle blocker made her an easy choice for our team. We are excited to see what she can accomplish in the ACCAC.”

High School: Orton will graduate from Ironwood Ridge High School in May of 2022. As a senior, she helped lead her team to a second-place finish in the region with 58 blocks.

Personal: Orton was born on October 4, 2004, in Bethesda, Maryland. Her hobbies include working on her jeep and off-roading. Her future goals include attaining an associate’s degree in business and majoring in entrepreneurship, in hopes of owning her own business.
