The Games
The Roughriders technically host a home game Wednesday at 7 p.m. when they face the Arizona Christian University club volleyball team at Mingus Union High School in Cottonwood, Arizona. That match will be streamed on and can be purchased for $8 while a season pass for all remaining Yavapai home volleyball matches can be purchased for $30.

After an off day, the Roughriders head to Yuma, Arizona, for an ACCAC matchup against Arizona Western on Friday at 7 p.m.

The Matadors
Arizona Western is off to an 8-4 start with a 2-0 record within the ACCAC. Those victories came over Mesa and Chandler-Gilbert by way of sweep. It has also beaten Southern Nevada twice, Lee, Casper, Western Wyoming, and Wallace State with losses to Indian Hills, Western Nebraska, Central Wyoming, and Southern Idaho.

The Roughriders
Yavapai is currently 6-8 on the season with a 1-1 record in ACCAC play. Last week, the Roughriders fell in five sets on the road at Eastern Arizona just two days after a remarkable comeback victory over No. 18-ranked Glendale on the road in Glendale, Arizona.

In the aforementioned victory over the Gauchos, Yavapai dropped the first two sets before dominating sets three and four. Trailing 10-6 in set five, the comeback continued as the Roughriders outscored Arizona Western 9-3 to cap off the victory.

One Last Thing
Last season, the Matadors and Roughriders matched up five times with Yavapai winning four of those matches.

Player To Watch
Sophomore middle blocker Paiten Langston has been incredible at the net this season as she leads the team in blocks with 70. The sophomore also has 61 kills to her name. Look for her to continue to be a force for the Roughriders.
