Due to the generous Republican Women of Prescott (RWOP) fundraising efforts and the overwhelming success of the 2019 Big Event Speaker Mike Huckabee, along with the Joseph and Peg Rhodes Scholarship Endowment, RWOP had an unprecedented budget of $20,000 for their 2020 Scholarship Program.
Republican Women of Prescott awarded 10 scholarship winners a total of $20,000. The awards normally are presented at the May RWOP luncheon at Prescott Resort. This year, due to COVID-19, the luncheon was canceled. In lieu of the luncheon, the RWOP scholarship committee is producing a program featuring all the winners with a bio of each written by the scholars themselves.
The program will be sent to all 900+ members of Republican Women of Prescott and the students so they can share the news with their friends and relatives. Scholarship awards will be sent directly to each student’s choice of college or university this July. Congratulations to the winners!
