In celebration of International Mead Day, Superstition Meadery is releasing three new meads:

Honey Stacks – A Blueberry Maple Mead with Cacao Nibs

Banana Havoc – A Rum Barrel-Aged Banana’s Foster Inspired Mead

Tepache Thunder – A Rum Barrel-Aged Pineapple and Agave Nectar Mead

Superstition’s creativity has put them on the map as one of the best in their industry and this year they were named the 35th top-rated craft beverage producer out of over 36,000 businesses worldwide in the RateBeer Best Awards. In addition to winning 24 medals for mead at the Mazer Cup International Mead Competition, Jeff and Jen also make the best hard cider in the world, Blueberry Spaceship Box.

The two founders have even bigger things in store for the future. The couple’s next venture will be the first mead and food pairing restaurant in the world to open in Downtown Phoenix in 2020. Yet, they aren’t losing sight of their original vision. As Jeff states “We follow our mission to reintroduce the world’s oldest fermented beverage to mankind every day, and we are psyched that our mead and cider is making people happy all over the world.”

International Mead Day is Saturday, August 3rd and you are invited to join Superstition Meadery in celebrating all things mead.

Dress up in a mead related costume, along with the fun staff in the Superstition Tasting Room, and receive 20% off your entire bill, and try three brand new bottle releases.

ABOUT SUPERSTITION MEADERY

Jeff and Jennifer Herbert started making mead at home when Jen gave Jeff a brewery kit for his birthday in 2007. They began Superstition Meadery in 2012 and opened their first tasting room by 2014. Just a year later they outgrew the location and expanded into a full production site, and since then, they have made over 200 unique meads and hard ciders. They continue to spread around the world, most recently launching their brand in France, Finland, Oregon, and Colorado.

In May of 2019, Superstition Meadery won the nation’s highest honor for a small business when they were awarded ‘Best Small Business in America” award in Washington DC. Acting SBA Administrator Chris Pilkerton said this about the Herberts, “Jennifer and Jeff truly represent the best of our nation’s small businesses.”
