The CAST 11 Podcast Network is sponsored by the Prescott Valley Outdoor Summit. Where adventure comes together.
Yavapai College in Prescott Valley is providing opportunities to test-drive courses and learn more about the college’s degree programs.
The second of five recruiting and familiarization events will be held on Friday, April 15 at Yavapai College’s Prescott Valley Center (3800 N. Glassford Hill Road) starting at 12 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
As YC’s Prescott Valley Center is home to Allied Health programs, participants can sign up for two 30-minute sessions in Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomy, or Radiologic Technology.
“Conduct any Internet search about the top 10 jobs – in the area, state, or nation – and something in Health Care will be on the list,” said Yavapai College Dean of Health and Wellness Scott Farnsworth.
“These are high-paying, in-demand jobs that can provide a lifetime of fulfillment. Come check out the Prescott Valley Center of Yavapai College where programs in Care Giver, Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomy, Radiology Technologist, and related programs are located. Meet instructors, tour the facility, and see if a career in Health care is right for you.”
Attendees will have the chance to apply to Yavapai College, talk with a financial aid representative, and schedule to meet with an enrollment advisor to register for classes.
Those who wish to attend may register online at www.yc.edu/testdrive. There, you will see which sessions are being offered, learn more about them, and view the overall schedule for the day.
Additional sessions will be held at the Prescott Campus on Apr. 23, at the Verde Valley Campus on Apr. 30, and at the Chino Valley Center on May 21.
