It was just 60 years ago today, December 2, 1961, when Fidel Castro, the green fatigue clad Revolutionary, “shocked” the world when he announced publicly that he was indeed a Communist. Thus began a downward spiral into societal deprivation for the Cuban people and U.S. – Cuban relations.

For the Americans, it was one thing to have Communists in Russia and Eastern Europe, but to have the Reds in your own back yard, hold the phone. Though Castro is long dead, his finger prints continue to oppress the Cuban people, and those lucky enough to make it here, serve as a warning to our own Nation against the Red Menace. 60 years ago today, a jungle guerilla admitted to the world, Castro is a Communist.
