Town of Prescott Valley, Friends and Family to Host Gala for Retiring Mayor Harvey Skoog

Tickets for the Gala will be $50 individual, and 8-person tables are available for $375.


The Town of Prescott Valley, the family of Harvey Skoog, and local friends, businesses and organizations will gather on Sunday, November 11 at the Prescott Valley Event Center to honor Mayor Harvey Skoog.

Mayor Skoog was appointed to the Prescott Valley Town Council in April 1984 and later served as Mayor for five years, from March 1993 to January 1998.

His current run as Mayor, from which he will retire in December 2018, began when he won a recall election in November 2004. The community re-elected him three times more, making a total of approximately 14 consecutive years as Mayor. Altogether, he served 19 years as Mayor during his more than 26 years of combined service on the Town Council.

The public is invited to the Gala, which will begin at 5 p.m. The evening will feature memories from family, friends, fellow council and community members, along with an elegant dinner, entertainment and a few great surprises!
