Verde Valley Volunteer Trail Day

The Prescott National Forest is seeking the help of volunteers in the Verde Valley to help construct the new Copper Chief Trail #535 on Saturday, March 26, 2022.

Please join the Prescott National Forest staff on Saturday, March 26 at the Blowout Wash Trailhead located at Forest Road 493 and West Mingus Ave, Cottonwood, AZ from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Food and beverages will be provided by Verde Valley Cyclists Coalition.

The Prescott National Forest is committed to safety and volunteers must wear proper attire including long pants, long sleeve shirt, sturdy work boots, and eye protection. Tools will be provided. Work gloves and hard hats will be provided as well if you do not have your own. Please RVSP and remember to bring a camp chair for festivities. We will begin at 8:30 am, so please ensure timely arrival.

The Prescott National Forest Trails and Wilderness program relies on the help of dedicated volunteers to complete trails maintenance and construction projects on the Bradshaw and Verde Ranger Districts. VTV meets weekly, every Wednesday from 8:30 am – 12:00 pm, in the Verde Valley during winter and spring, and up on Mingus Mountain during the summer and fall.
