Prescott’s Embry-Riddle women’s golf team has won every Cal Pac Championship since 2014 heading into this week, and the result was no different in the 2022 edition. All ERAU golfers occupied the top five of the individual leaderboard as the Eagles cruised to its eighth consecutive conference championship.
Kendall McBean took home the individual championship, shooting the best round on both Monday and Tuesday, leading start to finish. McBean shot the tournament-best 74 on Tuesday, had a top-five round on the final 18 holes, and had the most birdies throughout the championship with six.
Maisy Alsen jumped into second place on Wednesday, shooting a day-best 77 to close out the tournament. Alsen had matching 81s through the first two rounds and had three birdies on Wednesday.
Kaetlin Halseth also had the tournament’s best round, shooting 74 on Tuesday and was consistent on Wednesday to take home third. Throughout the tournament, Halseth had the second-best score on par-4s, averaging 4.30 shots per par-4 hole, and was tied for the most pars with 29 along with Alsen.
Hailey Stevenson tied teammate Alsen for the best round on the final day, posting a 77 (+5). Stevenson ended the championships in fourth and had a birdie to go along with 12 pars on Wednesday.

“The women played very well through a difficult course and difficult conditions,” associate head coach Mike Haddow said. “It’s a tribute to the young people we have. It’s a close group that is also competitive, and wanted to do their best every day.”
The season will continue at the NAIA Championships in Oklahoma City at the end of May. The first round of the four-day event will begin on Tuesday, May 24.
