This April, Yavapai Pediatrics in Prescott Valley will be participating in the annual Yavapai Communities for Kids Pinwheel Garden to help support bringing attention to child abuse prevention.
This April, during Child Abuse Prevention month, Yavapai Communities for Kids is working to advance public awareness about the possibility and promise of preventing childhood adversity in Yavapai County. When families experience overload from stressors like economic insecurity, lack of access to childcare, and other unmet needs, it affects the whole family. Children’s early experiences shape their rapidly developing brains, including emotional, physical, and environmental stress.
Everyone has a role in ensuring children have positive experiences, and that families have the resources they need when they need them.
How to Support a Pinwheel Garden
Yavapai Communities for Kids is seeking community partners to participate in the 2023 Community Pinwheel Gardens. Now you and your business can sign up by visiting https://pcaaz.org/community-pinwheel-gardens or simply fill out and submit the Pinwheel Garden Sign-up form. The suggested donation is $25-$50 to cover supply expenses and a bundle of 25-50 blue pinwheels will be delivered to your office by March 24th.
Simply plant your pinwheels in the ground, a flower pot, or a vase at your business through the month of April.
