Academy Of St Martin In The Fields In Concert

The Academy of St Martin in the Fields is one of the most recorded chamber orchestras in the world. Its soundtrack to the Oscar-winning film Amadeus, reached #1 in the Billboard Classical Albums chart, and is one of the most popular classical music recordings of all time. This will be their first time performing in Prescott in a concert of Bach and Dorman. Performing with the orchestra will be soloist Avi Avital, an Israeli mandolinist. Avital has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center in New York, in Beijing, and in Berlin. Avital continues a tradition that has brought Classical, Baroque, and folk music on the mandolin to public attention.
