  • Profile

In a field experience follow-up to her talk at the Natural History Institute, Dr. Lee Ann Woolery will lead a small group in the exploration of local habitats using alternative approaches to connect participants with nature at a deep level.

Learn Art-Based Perceptual Ecology (ABPE) protocols, the same alternative research methodologies used at Citizen Artist™ to study critical environmental issues.

“At Citizen Artist™ our ABPE protocols are steeped in other ways of knowing and multi-sensory learning modalities, ripe with art-based, speculative leaps of the imagination, alternative approaches to science inquiry in a modern science practice.”

ABPE methods offer the practitioner a shift in perspective, opening to a new way of experiencing nature, creating a springboard for new ideas and new understandings of natural systems.

No art skills or science background are needed to participate.
    $65 – Van transportation included:

Masks are required while riding in the van.
Meet at NHI at 8 am; return at 2 pm
