Charlie Alcorn, Program Coordinator with Watershed Management Group, will discuss how these practices are a great way to have a more productive and healthy urban landscape!

Are you working with limited outdoor space? Create a desert-friendly landscape with interesting, yet appropriate, plants for those small spaces. Kirti Mathura, garden author, has over 17 years of experience working at the Desert Botanical Garden and is currently the Program Coordinator for Smartscape at the University of Arizona’s Cooperative Extension.

The city of Glendale Water Services Department and SRP are teaming up to provide residents with easy tips on how to save money, energy, and water at home while promoting comfort and livability. Bird-Friendly Backyard Habitats

Grow native plants in your own landscape that will attract birds and other pollinators year-round. Jim Consolloy, an experienced gardener with Sonoran Audubon Society, will share a diversity of low-water-use plants to help you create an inviting wildlife sanctuary at home.
Growing Fruit Trees in the Desert

Our unique and extreme climate in central Arizona makes growing fruit trees a challenge. Come learn how to care for citrus trees and a variety of other fruit trees that can thrive here locally. Jonathan Manning, a certified arborist, will share his 30 years of experience growing fruit trees in the Sonoran Desert.
