Tucked into the rugged and stark landscape of the Bradshaw Mountains of Central Arizona, Castle Hot Springs opened in 1896 and holds the title of Arizona’s oldest resort. Over its history, it welcomed national and international leaders, entertainers, and personalities.
Join award-winning filmmaker Kristin Atwell Ford as she explores the history of this unique site and reveals how the Museum’s Library & Archives helped preserve its story. Bringing her research together, Kristin has produced both a book and a documentary spotlighting this Arizona institution.
Filmmaker Kristin Atwell Ford‘s stories focus on the alchemy of history, the land and people. Kristin has directed, produced, and written numerous award-winning films and is the proud recipient of the 2021 Governor’s Arts Award for Artist of the Year and sits on the Western Council Member of the Entertainment Community Fund.
