This is a fun little backcountry loop outside of Sedona near the sites of 2 ruins. We will stop and go through the Honanki Ruins. (There is a fee to park at the ruins. Info about fees to follow.) This is a very scenic trail with lots of red rock views.

Trail rating: Moderate – Most of the loop is easy, but a couple of steep rocky sections require a moderate rating. Most stock 4x4s with high ground clearance can do this trail. Skid plates will help.

Meetup location: Summit 4×4 Company (New shop)
    420 Miller Valley Road, Prescott

    • 8:00 a.m. Bagels and coffee provided by our fabulous sponsors
    • 8:30 a.m. Driver’s Meeting
    • 8:45 a.m. Hard roll out

Notes/special instructions: We will be eating lunch on the trail, so besides bringing a lunch and a chair, make sure there is plenty of water and snacks for everyone in your vehicle.

A Red Rock Pass is required to park at the Honanki Ruins. A pass may be purchased in advance at www.recreation.gov/sitepass/74387. You do not need a pass if you have the “America The Beautiful pass” or the “Senior Pass”, just make sure to take a copy of your pass because you will have to put it in the window of your vehicle while parked. There used to be a kiosk in the parking lot to purchase day passes, I will verify that when we pre-run the trail next week.
