Poppin’ in the Park

Avondale Parks & Recreation Department will host its first Poppin’ in the Park event on Saturday, September 25, 2021. This new event will be a fusion of the past Movie Night at the Parks and Food Truck Friday.

This event will feature the animated film “Moana” which will play at dusk, along with pictures with the character Moana; hula hooping; playing Just Dance on the big screen; creating crafts at the arts and crafts table, and delicious food! Food trucks that will be onsite include Kona Shave Ice, Dough Riders Pizza, and Queens Corn Popcorn.

Families are invited to bring folding chairs or blankets to sit on. The movie starts at 7:15 p.m.; families are encouraged to arrive as early as 6 p.m. to reserve their spot and participate in the activities.

The event is free to attend. Concessionaires will be on site for food and beverage purchase.
