An event for the senses, a Wine & Chocolate pairing event brought to you by Black Butterfly Artisan Chocolates and Del Rio Springs Vineyard
Join us at Black Butterfly Artisan Chocolates retail location/chocolate lab inside the Old Firehouse Plaza in downtown Prescott AZ as we provide you with a brief overview about how your chocolate is grown, harvested, and turned into the lovely confections we enjoy today. Watch as Chocolatier Tracy Taylor invites you into her kitchen for a quick demonstration of how the colorful bonbons are created. Then we’ll move across the courtyard to Del Rio Springs Vineyard’s Tasting Room where Chocolatier Tracy Taylor and Wine Aficionado Mark Damico will walk you thru the pairing of 5 different levels of the finest Venezuelan Cacao along with 5 Arizona produced wines from husband and wife team Richard and Maricor Skladzien’s Paulden Arizona based Del Rio Springs Vineyard (locally grown grapes/ locally produced). Learn how the grapes are grown and harvested for wine production and how and why each wine pairs with each particular percentage of chocolate cacao. Learn to detect the notes of both the wine and the chocolate and record your findings. Finish the experience with a hand-painted bonbon made especially for the event utilizing one of Del Rio Springs Vineyards wines for the luxurious ganache center.
